Imagine a world where a virtual representation of yourself and staff can meet in a central location and have the same richness of collaboration that the real boardroom brings! Rosewood now brings you that capability. Studies shows that on-line social interaction is one of the fastest growing technologies; don't let your company be left behind. Even though these people never meet in real world, they create the same bonding and teamwork. Many 2D web technology applications are available today, however, they pale compared to the opportunities of 3D collaboration.

Rosewood offers on-line corporate communications facilities. Rosewood takes on-line meeting experiences to a whole new paradigm. This new 3D virtual interaction creates the same opportunities for extended networking, personal bonding, and a true personal experience without the cost and logistics.

Before we share some examples of how you can take advantage of a corporate 3D virtual meeting, let us share a published result from one of the world's largest corporations.

IBM Saves $320,000 With "Virtual 3D" Meeting This past fall, the IBM Academy of Technology held two major events in "3D". The first was a specific Virtual World Conference for over 200 members. Based on the success and the savings, the Academy also decided to host part of the general meeting for the Academy the next month. Chairman Emeritus Irving Wladawsky-Berger has already described the experience and reported that 75% of the second event's participants thought it was successful. IBM also confirmed that the first event saved $320,000.

While your numbers of attendees and savings may be smaller than IBM's, They will be very relevant to your bottom line, See below for another example that may be closer to your particular needs today, and how Rosewood Virtual can help you achieve results.

Case study (simulated example )
A mid-size financial services firm has hosted an annual offsite every year for the past 7 years. During this offsite staff from around the world fly to a central location to meet and plan strategy for the coming 12 months. The costs of such an event are extremely high, and difficult to bear in the best economic times. During poor economic times, these costs are viewed as extravagant. However without this planning session, it is difficult to arrive at a cohesive plan that all staff can buy into for the coming year. This event also allows for significant bonding time with games and fun for everybody as they get to know each other.

THE financial firm invested in a 3D simulated meeting facility with multiple session rooms as well as a core conference center for the company to host the event. This provided significant cost savings through elimination of travel, as well as a reduction in hosting fees for the physical event. By taking advantage of the break out rooms, the company can still create the same structured environment as previously used in corporate off-sites. The important bonding is maintained through a series of virtual hosted events which draw the group close together in a teamwork structure, and they were able maintain the fun and playful side of real world bonding exercises. One such event was a day ending obstacle race where the avatars had to get through an outside field. Being able to move your avatar was not the only skill needed, each obstacle had a question from the workshop earlier in the day, the person had to correctly answer multiple choice questions before moving on, so sometimes it took them 2 or 4 tries, which allowed their colleagues to pass them in the race. " it was a little bit of fun, and a little bit of learning, I actually enjoyed it more than the events we used to attempt in the real meeting sessions" noted one employee.
